Description
The Utility Solutions BREAK-SAFE USBS-27-2-PS-S is a portable load break and pick-up jumper clamp designed for use on overhead electrical distribution lines. This device acts as a temporary, field-installable switch, providing linemen with a safe and reliable solution for load management during maintenance and repair operations.
The BREAK-SAFE® has three operating functions:
The BREAK-SAFE® is available in four models with either a Floating Head or a Duckbill Head:
MINIMUM SAFE DISTANCE
In order to keep personnel at a safe distance, the BREAK-SAFE® is operated with an insulated fiberglass hot stick for load break and load pick-up functions.
The Yellow Safety Lock is also operated by a hot stick and helps prevent the tool from an unintended load break or pickup operation.
Conductor Sizes (ALL): #6 copper min. up to 954 ACSR (1.1" dia.) MAX.
